Private education as known it is coming out, at both the K-12 and postsecondary levels. At a minimum, it’s going for dramatic shrinkage, save for a few places and circumstances, to be substituted by a very different pair of institutional, governance, loans, and education-delivery mechanisms.

The Apotheosized Centers – You know those that. The big schools in DC proper that are sited in every Tanya, Dick, and Harriet article about DC area private schools. Why will they survive? See last phrase and… They may have little competition from POWER public schools that go from good to horrible in one flick of my finger on Great School’s website. Big POWER privates also have a very long history of sending kids to top Ivy League Schools. Finally, if you are in POWER you have some cash and if you need a good education for your youngster private school is fairly much your only option.
